LOS ANGELES/ROME: SDI Media has opened its new custom-designed dubbing studios in Rome, where the company has turned the historic Il Messaggero newspaper building into a state-of-the-art studio for broadcast, theatrical, home entertainment and interactive products.

The fully-equipped 2,700-square-meter facility will provide local broadcasters, content owners and leading Hollywood studios with a comprehensive suite of localization solutions. The second phase of the building process will result in ten recording rooms, five mixing rooms with theatrical mix capabilities, and an additional TV mix room. SDI Media is now the only localization provider with owned-and-operated studios in both Milan and Rome.

"We are very excited to announce the opening of our new Rome dubbing studios, we have been eagerly anticipating our move into Rome and have found the perfect location and a fantastic team to strengthen our presence in Italy," said Walter Schonfeld, the CEO of SDI Media. "Our double presence in Italy allows SDI Media to provide clients even greater resources and capabilities in one of the largest dubbing markets in the world."
