LOS ANGELES: CBS Studios International (CBSSI) and France's M6 have re-upped their volume agreement, building on a programming partnership that began in 2003.

The relationship between CBSSI and M6 began with the acquisition of NCIS by the French net. Other CBS series that have performed well for the channel include Hawaii Five-0, Elementary and NCIS: Los Angeles. Under the extension, M6 will gain the broadcast rights for the second season of Under the Dome and the new summer event series Extant. It will continue to have access to CBS's future network programming.

“M6 is one of our signature programming partners, who has helped us build very successful brands, such as the NCIS franchise, in this key international market,” said Armando Nuñez, the president and CEO of CBS Global Distribution Group. “We greatly value the M6 relationship and the mutual success we’ve enjoyed bringing these CBS shows to French audiences.”

“We have had a long relationship with CBS for more than 10 years, with strong successes on our channels,” added Nicolas de Tavernost, the chairman of the executive board of M6. “We are very happy to continue our partnership and feel confident that CBS will provide us with new hit series.”
