Meredith Chambers Becomes Co-MD at Electric Ray

LONDON: Meredith Chambers is teaming up with Karl Warner to share the role of managing director at the indie Electric Ray, a joint venture with Sony Pictures Television.

Chambers will focus on producing factual content, while Warner leads the company's entertainment push. Chambers joins Electric Ray from Shed Media-owned indie Twenty Twenty, where she was creative director. Chambers also previously served as commissioning editor for documentaries at Channel 4.

Warner said: “Our plan has always been to bring the best of factual and entertainment together. We’ve been working towards this for ages and at last Meredith and I will be in the same place at the same time.”

Chambers added: “Karl’s an exciting creative and great fun to be around—I can’t wait to get started with him. With support from the team at Sony Pictures Television I hope that we can combine our reputations for producing innovative shows and build a successful slate for the U.K. and international broadcasters.”
