LONDON: Next month in Cannes, Sky Vision is slated to showcase a number of series, including the upcoming comedy Working the Engels, which stars Andrea Martin, Kacey Rohl, Azura Skye and Benjamin Arthur.

Working the Engels centers on a family struggling to make ends meet after the breadwinning patriarch dies. The 12×30-minute show, produced by Halfire Entertainment in association with Shaw Media and NBC, marks the first time U.S. and Canadian broadcasters have teamed up for a half-hour network sitcom. It is scheduled to premiere on NBC on Thursday, July 10.

Sky Vision is also bringing to market the first programs from its distribution deal with Asylum Entertainment. Titles include Hollywood Hillbillies, Treasure King and Mansion Matchmaker. In addition, the company will be promoting LA Frock Stars, which is produced by NHNZ.

Jane Millichip, the managing director of Sky Vision, noted: "The scripted and factual entertainment series that lead our MIPTV slate very much represent our core strategy, to build a fantastic primetime catalogue of quality and scale, sourced from Sky and third-party producers and broadcasters. Working the Engels is exciting both commercially and creatively. The unique collaboration between NBC, Shaw Media and Halfire marries great talent and an exciting straight-to-series model for scripted comedy. We are also delighted to launch the first tranche of our Hollywood franchise which comprises around 100 hours of factual entertainment."
