LONDON: 3 Rivers, a Dutch management consultancy, has hired the veteran TV executive Beata Hegedus to lead its new U.K. office.

Hegedus joins 3 Rivers from Viasat Broadcasting U.K., where she served as VP of formats and entertainment. Prior to Viasat, Hegedus established and managed Debmar-Mercury International.

3 Rivers’ partner Oege Boonstra was instrumental in Warner Bros TV Group’s acquisition of the Shed Media Group and carried out the strategic review of independent producer Monkey Kingdom ahead of its sale to NBCUniversal.

Boonstra said: “3 Rivers has been successfully operating since 2007. The demand for our international consultancy is growing exponentially and, in order to fully exploit these opportunities, we have invited Beata Hegedus to head up our new offices in London. It’s a real coup for us that Beata has accepted this role. She is extremely well connected in the international media world and has tremendous operational TV knowledge. Supported by the team of experienced media executives at 3 Rivers, Beata will focus on business and content strategy for production companies and broadcasters.”

Hegedus added: “3 Rivers is a premium advisory company with an indisputably impressive client base and portfolio. Having worked at senior executive level in production, distribution and, most recently, broadcasting, joining this exciting company feels like the perfect fit at this stage of my career. It will allow me to build on my recent experience of mergers and acquisitions, while offering me a fascinating and multifaceted role with a focus on the U.K. and U.S. markets.”
