LONDON: British distributor Power has sold more than 50 hours of mystery programming to Tricolor TV, Russia’s largest satellite-TV operator.

The deal was for a package of crime films taken from Power’s TV movie catalogue. This includes nine Mystery Woman titles, a series of films starring Kellie Martin as the owner of a bookstore who sets about solving real murders. Also in the mix are seven McBride movies, following laidback defense attorney Mike McBride as he flushes out the actual murderers, and six Jane Doe titles, about a suburban housewife who by night becomes one of America’s top agents.

“We are delighted to have continued our presence in Russia through working with Tricolor TV,” said Georgina McNeilly, Power’s VP of international sales. “Power has a truly thrilling catalogue of mystery and crime movies that will keep Tricolor TV’s audiences on the edge of their seats.”
