WARSAW: Christian Anting has been appointed to the newly created role of chief strategy officer and managing director of international distribution for Poland's TVN, effective immediately.

Anting will be responsible for all strategic development, with a focus on retail and subscription-based services, e-commerce activities and nonfiction linear and non-linear exploitation. His remit also includes oversight for TVN Group's international distribution activities, including for the international network iTVN. Anting reports to Markus Tellenbach, the president and CEO of TVN.

Most recently, Anting served as the VP of the management board at nc+, which was formed by the merger of Cyfra+ and n platforms in 2013. He was previously the VP of the management board and chief operating officer at ITI Neovision, the operator of the n platform.

Tellenbach stated: “I am pleased to appoint Christian as the company’s chief strategy officer and managing director of international distribution. As challenging times pass by and fairly difficult economic conditions give way to a more optimistic and a brighter perspective, we believe business development and strategic thinking are crucial for embracing growth opportunities, expanding our business beyond the national market and thus consistently reinforcing our position.”

Anting added: “I am very excited to accept this challenging and responsible role at TVN. With new objectives and activities clearly outlined, I am eager to make a positive contribution to the company, drawing from my best experience, gained both locally here in Poland, as well as internationally.”
