Bertelsmann Reduces RTL Stake

GÜTERSLOH: Bertelsmann has sold a further 1.3 percent of its stake in the RTL Group for 151.6 million euros ($205 million).

The media conglomerate sold 2 million ordinary shares of RTL Group at an offer price of 75.81 euros per share. The offer comprised the shares of an over-allotment option, which had not been exercised in Bertelsmann's sale earlier this year of around 17 percent of RTL. Following this recent sale, Bertelsmann holds 75.1 percent of RTL Group, maintaining its position as a majority shareholder.
