FremantleMedia Enters Partnership with Multi-Channel Network Divimove

LONDON: FremantleMedia has acquired a minority stake in Divimove, the second largest Multi-Channel Network (MCN) in Germany, as part of a strategic partnership announced between the two companies.

Divimove was set up in 2012 by Brian Ruhe, Philipp Bernecker and Sebastiaan van Daam. The company provides creators on YouTube with the tools for monetizing their content, technical support and analysis and marketing and cross-promotion support. The partnership comes ahead of YouTube's Brandcast event in Berlin.

Keith Hindle, the CEO of digital and branded entertainment at FremantleMedia, said: “This is an important step in our strategic goal to become the leading creator, producer and distributor of content on emerging digital platforms. We’ve had great success in creating market-leading digital extensions of our TV properties, and are now keen to work closely with Divimove who bring a network of talented content creators producing for new digital platforms.
