New CEO for Banijay Finland

LONDON: Joonas Hytönen, previously the head of entertainment and executive producer at Moskito Television Oy, has been named CEO of Banijay Finland, formerly known as Solar Television.

Hytönen became Moskito’s head of entertainment in 2010. He has sold and executive produced hit series such as Dancing on Ice, Survivor, Kitchen Nightmares and many others. He also hosted several popular prime-time shows, including Joonas Hytönen Show on MTV3 since 1999.

In his new post, taking effect September 2, Hytönen will be leading the Banijay Group’s Finnish activities, which have been renamed as Banijay Finland from Solar Television.

Jacob Houlind, Nordic Group’s CEO at Nordisk Film TV, commented, “We are delighted that Joonas is joining our Group.
