Charlotte Moore Named Acting Controller for BBC One

LONDON: Charlotte Moore, who is currently the BBC’s commissioning editor of documentaries, is taking on the role of acting controller of the flagship BBC One.

Danny Cohen is taking up his new post as the BBC’s director of television on May 7. Moore will hold the controller role for BBC One on an acting basis through the process of making an official permanent appointment.

Cohen said: "Charlotte is a fantastic creative leader and I’m confident she will do a great job as interim Controller following her spell recently in charge of the BBC Daytime portfolio. The most important thing is that we carry on with business as usual and Charlotte will be empowered to make commissioning decisions and maintain BBC One’s momentum."
