A+E Networks Partners with France’s Canal+

NEW YORK/PARIS: A+E Networks and Canal+ have begun a long-term partnership in France that involves pay-TV channels, content, production and digital distribution.

Both companies will debut several channels later in the year through the Planete+ factual group on the CanalSat platform with exclusive access to A+E Networks’ slate of hit factual entertainment content. A+E Networks, which operates in more than 150 territories, will also continue to represent its programming via the D8 and D17 channels. Additionally, A+E Networks and Canal+ will work together to create digital opportunities in France.
