Fool Britannia Re-Commissioned by ITV

LONDON: ITV Studios has been commissioned to make a second season of the comedy Fool Britannia for ITV.

The comedy premiered on TV in September 2012. Six additional half-hour episodes are being produced, featuring comedian Dom Joly as he enlists new characters and setups to fool an unsuspecting British public. The show is executive produced by Lee Connolly and series produced by Greg Bower for ITV Studios.

Siobhan Greene, the director of entertainment at ITV Studios, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Dom on a second series of Fool Britannia. Dom and the team are full of new characters and ideas, and we are so looking forward to building on what was done on the first series.”

John Kaye Cooper, the controller of entertainment at ITV, added: "We’re delighted that Dom returns with Fool Britannia and his own blend of pranks and setups."
