LONDON: Jeff Ford, the director of programs at Channel 5, is said to be leaving the broadcaster.

Ford came to the role after the acquisition of Channel 5 by Richard Desmond’s Northern & Shell, in 2010. He was the successor to Richard Woolfe. It is now confirmed that he is leaving the post as of December.

Ford said in a statement: "I have really enjoyed my time as director of programs at Channel 5. Since the acquisition of the channel by Northern & Shell in 2010, Channel 5 has once again found its voice. I am leaving the brand in a far better place with programs that viewers talk about and truly engage with."
