MOSCOW/LONDON: Miramax has made films such as Pulp Fiction and Good Will Hunting available for streaming in Russia through a new multi-year SVOD deal with the multimedia entertainment services company Stream.

The move makes Stream the first Russian multimedia outlet to digitally distribute Miramax’s titles in the Russian market. Stream’s SVOD viewers gain access to an array of Miramax’s hit titles, including Kill Bill, From Dusk Till Dawn and The English Patient. Customers can watch the movies in HD through the Stream website or download them to Internet-connected devices.

“Stream’s alliance with the acclaimed Miramax film studio is a milestone for us,” said Inna Shalyto, the CEO of Stream. “Partnering with Miramax allows us to bring some of the world’s most original and loved titles to Russian audiences, and it is also another step in Stream’s unmatched efforts to create a sophisticated, public digital content distribution market in Russia through relationships with content owners.”

“We’re extremely excited to begin bringing Miramax’s award-winning movies to Russian audiences through Stream,” added Danny Goldman, Miramax’s senior VP and head of sales for EMEA. “Stream has developed into a leader in the Russian media content market, and we are very pleased that they are our first partner in Russia as we continue to extend Miramax’s global relationships.”
