Sky Deutschland Expands Partnership with ZDF Enterprises

UNTERFÖHRING/MAINZ: Sky Deutschland has built upon its deal with ZDF Enterprises, securing the exclusive rights to crime thrillers and films across satellite, cable, IPTV, the Internet and mobile devices.

The new, long-term pact offers exclusive pay-TV access to crime series like Die Rosenheim-Cops, the SOKO series, Ein Fall für zwei and Bella Block. It also sees a selection of international films premiering exclusively in Germany on Sky. The content not only is part of Sky’s linear offerings, but is also available through Sky Anytime and Sky Go.

Gary Davey, the executive VP of programming at Sky Deutschland, said: “With this framework agreement we are underscoring the significance of the crime genre for us. Sky Krimi is the channel that has been on our platform the longest. This cooperation enables us to continue offering crime thriller fans highlights from ZDF Enterprises, all on one channel—whether it’s via linear programming or on-demand and on the go.”
