Lookout Point Invests in New Comedy Outfit

Lookout Point has taken a founding stake in Boffola Pictures, a new production company focused on comedy and comedy-drama for the U.K. and international markets.

Boffola was established by former BBC execs Shane Allen and Kate Daughton. Lookout Point will provide commercial and strategic support to the new venture, with BBC Studios serving as global distribution partner for Boffola’s output.

Allen previously headed up comedy at BBC and Channel 4. Daughton was head of comedy commissioning at the BBC. The shows they have been involved with include Fleabag, This Country, Black Mirror, The Inbetweeners Movie, Ghosts, Back to Life and Friday Night Dinner.
