Global BBC iPlayer Takes Rights for First Sporting Event

LONDON: The Xchanging Boat Race sports event is now available to subscribers of the Global BBC iPlayer in a number of territories, including Australia, France, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands.

The Xchanging Boat Race is one of the world’s oldest sporting rivalries. The annual race takes place on the River Thames between the crews of Oxford and Cambridge Universities. This year’s event can be seen on the Global iPlayer by subscribers in Australia, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and Luxembourg.
