Parthenon Names New Board Chairman

LONDON: Parthenon Media Group has appointed Charles Gurassa to the role of non-executive chairman of its board of directors.

Gurassa is currently the non-executive chairman of the restaurant group Tragus and Genesis Housing Association; the deputy chairman at easyJet and MACH; and a trustee of the National Trust. He was formerly the chairman of Virgin Mobile, LOVEFiLM, Phones4U and Alamo/National Rent a Car.

Carl Hall, the chief executive officer at Parthenon Media Group, said: "The board is delighted to have appointed a chairman with such strong city credibility and the standing of Charles, to position the group for future growth. We believe his chairmanship of other leading media businesses and his knowledge of international markets will help us accelerate our expansion to become a leading global media group."
