BBC World News Expands French Presence

PARIS: BBC World News has expanded its relationship with French telco SFR for carriage on Neufbox TV, upping its distribution in the country to more than 16 million homes.

BBC World News became available last month on SFR’s Neufbox and Neufbox Evolution offers on ADSL and fiber. It was previously only offered in the le Bouquet Sélection package.

Colin Lawrence, the commercial director of BBC World News, said: "This is a major step forward for BBC World News, making us available to an even bigger French audience. We know French viewers value our intelligent, high-quality international news and we’re delighted to welcome SFR Neufbox TV subscribers to the BBC World News channel.
