BBC & ITV Pact with LOVEFiLM

LONDON: Both ITV and BBC Worldwide have signed deals with LOVEFiLM, bringing to the service titles such as Prime Suspect, Doctor Who and Planet Earth.

The SVOD agreement with ITV brings LOVEFiLM recent hits such as Marchlands and Above Suspicion, as well as classic crime series, including Inspector Morse, and British dramas such as Cold Feet and Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The deal also adds further premium content to the LOVEFiLM Instant service.

Through the agreement with BBC Worldwide, LOVEFiLM gains titles such as Life on Mars, Spooks, the mini-series Whitechapel and a range of docs, including Planet Earth.

Simon Calver, CEO of Amazon’s LOVEFiLM, commented: "LOVEFiLM’s partnership with ITV is the icing on the cake of our LOVEFiLM Instant service as it brings more top TV content together with world class movies, delivered across multiple platforms, all for one low monthly price."
