PARIS: Reed MIDEM has organized a two-day networking and live learning experience, MIPCube, which will focus on the game-changing innovations affecting the TV industry, to take place ahead of the 2012 edition of MIPTV.

MIPCube will open in Cannes on March 30, with MIPTV following on April 1. Cindy Gallop, the former U.S. president of creative agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty and the CEO of IfWeRanTheWorld.com, is confirmed as the first speaker for MIPCube. The Coca-Cola Company and Ogilvy & Mather will announce speakers for the event shortly. Vivendi is the creative partner and global sponsor of MIPCube 2012.

MIPCube will feature a series of networking events for producers, distributors, online media players, tech firms, advertisers and social networks. The two days will also feature a number of cast studies about experimental content in the way of interactive features and apps. Live learning sessions will focus on two themes: Spreading the Story, examining the ways that digital content can affect brand and audience engagement, and Enriching the Story, looking at changing content consumption with connect TVs, interactivity, online media and social networks. The Digital Minds Summit at MIPCube is an invitation-only event that brings together 50 global business leaders in the media world to take part in a private session to debate, discuss and plan the future of TV.

The seventh annual Content 360 competition will be held as part of MIPCube. The MIPTV start-up competition returns as MIPCube Lab. The TV Hack Day will offer developers a chance to team up for 48 hours to come up with an innovative TV app. The two-day event will wrap with a MIPCube Party.
