LONDON: Lucky Day Productions, a Zodiak Media Group company, has secured a number of new commissions, with production under way on four series expected in 2012 for BBC and Channel 4.

Secret Location, a 20-episode hour-long series, was commissioned by Channel 4 for daytime. The new property format takes house hunters to areas they would never normally consider, leaving them in the dark as to the location of the properties, ensuring they judge each house on its merits rather than its location. It will air early in 2012 and will be produced by Gerry Costello, with Damon Pattison and Helen Nightingale as the executive producers.

In addition, BBC Two has commissioned a second series of Show Me the Monet for its 2012 schedule. Hosted by BBC Breakfast reporter Chris Hollins, it features aspiring artists exhibiting and selling their work. The new series is currently in production. Show Me the Monet will be produced by Alison Kreps and executive produced by Damon Pattison for Lucky Day and Pam Cavannagh for BBC.

Also returning to BBC is the children’s game show School of Silence, commissioned by CBBC controller Damian Kavanagh. It will be produced by Matt Smith, executive produced for BBC by Melissa Hardinge, with Mike Griffiths and Damon Pattison for Lucky Day.

Damon Pattison, the managing director of Lucky Day said, “We have been extremely fortunate but we’re obviously utterly delighted with our commissions. I am very lucky to have a great development team of Nikki Pinkus (head of development) and Matt Floyd (development AP) whose ideas and tenacity are second to none.”
