Tel Aviv-based yes Studios has signed a deal with Prime Video to bring two Israeli series to U.S. audiences, including the thriller Kvodo.

Kvodo centers on a prominent judge who, through a tragic twist of fate, gets caught up in the mafia underworld. The show, now available on Prime Video, inspired the Bryan Cranston Showtime series Your Honor.

Kvodo was created by Ron Ninio and Shlomo Mashiach and has inspired adaptations in several territories, including Germany, India, Italy, France, Turkey and Spain.

The limited series Just for Today, about a group of released prisoners living in a soon-to-close halfway house in south Tel Aviv, is set to debut on Prime Video and Google Play on August 23.

“We are so pleased to present two of our most awarded and captivating television series to the U.S. viewers,” said a yes Studios company representative. “Kvodo and Just for Today epitomize great Israeli television that translates beautifully to global viewers while offering unique insight into our culture and personal stories.”
