U.K. Pickup for The Swarm

Sky in the U.K. has licensed the event thriller The Swarm to broadcast on Sky Max later this year.

The eco-thriller scored strong ratings in Germany on ZDF and Austria on ORF. Negotiations with a U.S. partner are in the final stages. Movistar Plus+ also acquired the show for Spain.

The series will continue its international rollout throughout the year and will be available on Hulu Japan; Viaplay Group in Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland; Rai in Italy; France Télévisions; and SRF in Switzerland.

Beta Film and ZDF Studios are handling world sales.
