Tomorrow Studios, Story Syndicate Team for Max FBI Drama

Through their first-look deal, Tomorrow Studios (One Piece, Snowpiercer) and Story Syndicate have partnered to develop a law enforcement drama for Max.

Loosely inspired by the life story of Geraldine Hart, the untitled series will follow a legendary FBI agent who returns to her hometown on Long Island to clean up mob corruption. Liz Garbus (The Handmaid’s Tale, Yellowjackets), co-founder of Story Syndicate, will direct and executive produce the show.

Hart, who will executive produce the series, most recently served as Suffolk County Police Commissioner, a role in which she applied new scientific technology to advance cold cases and developed and implemented sweeping reforms. Her 22 years in the FBI saw her oversee the Long Island office, where she led investigations of organized crime, public corruption, terrorism and counterintelligence. She also headed the Long Island Gang Task Force, a multi-agency effort to address and dismantle violent gang activity. Currently, she is associate VP of public safety and community engagement at Hofstra University.

The pilot will be scripted by showrunner and executive producer Eileen Myers (The Night Agent). In addition to Garbus, Hart and Myers, executive producers include Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Alissa Bachner for Tomorrow Studios; Dan Cogan and Nellie Reed for Story Syndicate; and Anne Beagan and Stacy Sherman for Anne Beagan Productions.
