The Promise Set for Third Season on Turkey’s Kanal 7

Kanal 7 in Turkey has renewed for a third season The Promise, a daily drama series produced by Karamel Yapim and distributed internationally by Eccho Rights.

In The Promise, Reyhan and Emir, who couldn’t be any more different, see their lives intersect as a promise brings them together in the most unexpected way. The series has been scoring record-breaking ratings for its host broadcaster since launching in February of this year. The third season is slated to run through 2020-21.

Eccho Rights has secured international sales for The Promise in Romania, Lithuania, India, Poland and Georgia.

Handan Özkubat, director of Turkish drama at Eccho Rights, said: “The Promise has seen a massive increase in market share for Kanal 7 and international broadcasters have been taking notice. The confirmation of over 400 episodes to be completed by spring 2021 gives international buyers a guarantee of quality, long-running product.”
