LONDON: all3media International has inked a prime-time drama deal with the French broadcaster TF1, which has picked up Two Brothers Pictures’ Liar and TXTV’s Innocent as presales.

Innocent stars Hermione Norris (Cold Feet) and Lee Ingleby (The A Word). The contemporary drama series is currently in production by TXTV for the U.K.’s ITV. The 4×1-hour drama comes from writers Chris Lang and Matt Arlidge.

In production for ITV and SundanceTV, Liar is created and written by Harry and Jack Williams (The Missing) of Two Brothers Pictures. The emotional thriller stars Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey) and Ioan Gruffudd (Forever).

Both dramas are set to make their debut to French audiences in 2017.

Fabrice Bailly, the head of programs and acquisitions for TF1 Group, commented, “Our ambition is to offer French viewers the most prestigious drama. After the success of And Then There Were None at the end of 2016, we are delighted that our collaboration with all3media International will bring forth two more high-quality U.K. series. We are very confident that these new projects will seduce the French audience.”

Graham Spencer, the senior VP for EMEA South at all3media International, added, “I’m delighted to see TF1 secure these fantastic new series for French viewers—Liar and Innocent represent the very best in contemporary British prime-time drama, and we’re sure they will prove very popular with international audiences. With their outstanding acting and production talent, both titles deliver multi-layered characters and story lines that blend compelling relationship drama with a real edge-of-your-seat thriller.”
