FOX Renews Best Medicine

Best Medicine, the U.S. adaptation of All3Media International’s format Doc Martin, has been renewed for a second season by FOX.

Best Medicine quickly became a breakout for us this season, blending sharp humor with real heart,” said Michael Thorn, president of FOX Television Network. “Liz Tuccillo brings a distinctive creative voice to the series, and Josh Charles leads an exceptional cast that audiences have embraced. We, along with Propagate, are excited to build on that momentum in season two.”

Best Medicine stars Josh Charles, Abigail Spencer, Josh Segarra, Annie Potts and Cree. It is produced by FOX Entertainemnt Studios and brought to American audiences by Propagate Content.

The series premiere of Best Medicine delivered 12.6 million total multiplatform viewers, and the series ranks among broadcaster’s top two highest rated drama debuts this seasong among adults 18 to 49. It also currently stands as FOX’s second largest seven-day total multiplatform audience of the season to date.

All3Media International represents the Doc Martin format, which was originally produced in the U.K. by Buffalo Pictures in association with Homerun Film Productions.
