STARZ has acquired the rights to adapt Miranda July’s novel All Fours, about a journey of self-discovery.
All Fours centers on a 45-year-old perimenopausal woman who plans a cross-country road trip that ultimately sees her take part in an extramarital affair and undergo a sexual awakening.
“I’m thrilled that All Fours has found a home at STARZ,” July said. “I had an electric feeling from the moment we met; it was clear we were speaking the same language. Rather than shying away from all the messy contradictions within sexuality and desire, STARZ really digs into the reality of who women are and what we want, which makes it the perfect place to bring my novel to life. This is going to be wild.”
“We are honored that Miranda has entrusted us with the adaptation of her magnificent novel All Fours,” added Kathryn Busby, president of original programming at STARZ. “As we continue to expand our boundary-pushing programming for adults, we’re excited to work with Miranda on this extraordinary story that resonates with women around the world.”
