Simon Maloney Joins Northern Sister

BAFTA-winning producer Simon Maloney (Time, I May Destroy You, Everything I Know about Love) has joined Northern Sister, Sister’s Manchester-based production hub, as an executive producer.

Maloney will focus on developing and producing high-end scripted projects in the region, nurturing new visionary creators from diverse backgrounds. As his first project, he joins the previously announced Passenger as executive producer.

Maloney will work alongside Lucy Dyke (The Split, Black Mirror, Eric), creative director of scripted at Northern Sister.

Prior to this, Maloney worked as a freelance producer and has overseen a range of high-profile projects, including Jimmy McGovern’s Time (BBC), Michaela Coel’s multi-award-winning I May Destroy You (BBC), season three of Peaky Blinders (BBC/Netflix) and most recently, the BBC adaptation of Dolly Alderton’s memoir, Everything I Know about Love.

He also has experience working as first assistant director on projects such as The Railway Man, Peaky Blinders season one, Luther, Penny Dreadful, Fortitude, Marvellous and The Honourable Woman.
