About Premium Content (APC) has signed deals in Western Europe and Australia for the Israeli thriller Unknowns.

Produced by Rabel Films for KAN, the Hebrew-language drama has been acquired by Canal+’s Polar+ channel in France, Filmin in Spain and Portugal, SBS in Australia and Be in French-speaking Belgium and Luxembourg.

The nine-part series tells the story of a group of boys living in the margins of Israeli society who spend their time in a school for at-risk youth. When they become the immediate suspects in a rape investigation, their already unbalanced world is shaken.

Unknowns is created and written by Guy Sidis, along with Nirit Yaron and Tawfik Abu-Wael (Our Boys for HBO), who also directed. Amit Dekel and Nirit Yaron are producers.

Laurent Boissel and Emmanuelle Guilbart, joint-CEOs and co-founders of APC, said, “Tawfik Abu Wael is an incredibly well established Palestinian-Israeli creator, best known for his captivating drama Our Boys. Along with a team of talented writers and actors, he has directed an ensemble drama that is both hard-hitting and intimate. We are thrilled to have secured the first broadcast deals for the show.”
