Globo has licensed the feature film The Night Shifter to AMC Networks’ OTT service Shudder.

The movie is slated to launch as of March in the U.S., U.K., Germany, Austria, Australia, New Zealand and Canada in Portuguese with subtitles in local languages or dubbed in German for select countries. The Night Shifter follows Stênio (Daniel de Oliveira, The Party), who works nights at the morgue in a large and violent city and has a paranormal gift of speaking with the dead.

This marks Globo’s second work picked up by Shudder, which previously licensed the Brazilian version of Supermax, a thriller in which the participants in a fictional reality show are confined in a deactivated maximum security prison in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest.
