Dori Media Group’s crime drama El Marginal is coming back for a second season in Latin America on Universal TV.

Season two is a prequel that takes place three years before season one. Ahead of the second season debut, Universal TV will re-air season one so viewers can catch up on the story of an ex-cop, Miguel Di Marco, in the San Onofre prison.

Nadav Palti, CEO of Dori Media, commented: “We are excited to see Universal TV, the international channel maximum reference in captivating stories of police drama and persecution, reaffirm their interest in El Marginal, which is another stunning endorsement of the show’s quality. We are delighted with the rating success of season one, which we fully expect to replicate in this second round, thanks to Universal TV and NBCUniversal International Networks significant presence in broadcasting through a strong portfolio of domestic and international platforms.”
