Roku Lands Rights to The Spiderwick Chronicles

The Roku Channel has landed the exclusive U.S. premiere rights for The Spiderwick Chronicles TV adaptation.

Produced by Paramount Television Studios and 20th Television, the eight-episode series centers on the Grace family, who move from New York to Michigan to live in their ancestral home, Spiderwick Estate.

The show is based on the book series of the same name by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black. The cast features Joy Bryant, Noah Cottrell, Lyon Daniels, Mychala Lee, Jack Dylan Grazer and Christian Slater.

The Spiderwick Chronicles is executive produced by Aron Eli Coleite, who also serves as showrunner, along with Kat Coiro, who directs the first two episodes of the series. DiTerlizzi, Black, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, D.J. Goldberg, Julie Kane-Ritsch and Grace Gilroy also executive produce. Paramount Global Content Distribution is distributing the series internationally.
