Pixcom Expands Scripted Division with New Hires

As it ramps up scripted production, Pixcom has appointed Martine Pagé to its scripted development team as fiction development director and added two new producers.

The newly hired scripted producers are Isabelle Courval and Véronique Gaudet. The appointments follow the recent premieres of Pixcom’s Indefensible and Anna & Arnaud, as well as the company’s Prix Gémeaux wins, five of which were for Audrey’s Back (Audrey est Revenue).

Audrey’s Back was previously recognized for two awards at Canneseries 2022: the Dior Grand Award and the Special Interpretation Award. It also won Denver, Colorado’s SeriesFest Audience Award and the Banff/Rockie Award for best Francophone program.

Anna & Arnaud and Indefensible recently premiered on TVA in Québec. Indefensible is Pixcom’s first daily drama series, and it marks the first time TVA is airing a daily drama. Pixcom is currently considering various global distribution partners.

Pixcom is currently working on Wong & Winchester, which is in production for Rogers/Citytv and will be distributed globally by Lionsgate.

Nicola Merola, president and executive producer, and Charles Lafortune, creative head and executive producer, said: “At Pixcom, we’re thrilled that audiences are so taken by Audrey’s Back, our dynamic new scripted series. With the recent launches of Anna & Arnaud and Indefensible and currently in production with Wong & Winchester, among others, it was the right time to advance our commitment to scripted content. By expanding our award-winning team with these three talented women—Martine, Isabelle, and Véronique—we expect to amplify our production efforts well into 2023 and beyond. Pixcom will be very active at the upcoming MIPCOM and MIA conferences, and we look forward to meeting with our global partners.”
