Ovation has acquired the non-exclusive U.S. broadcast rights for Agatha Christie’s Partners in Crime from the U.K. and Australia’s A Place to Call Home.

Agatha Christie’s Partners in Crime is a six-part series based on the short stories of the same name by prolific mystery writer Agatha Christie. In the series, Christie’s crime-fighting duo, Tommy and Tuppence Beresford, solve mysteries and search for enemy spies in 1950s Britain. It stars David Walliams and Jessica Raine.

In A Place to Call Home, a mysterious woman is perched between the harsh legacy of World War II and the hope of a new life in Australia. It stars Marta Dusseldorp, Noni Hazlehurst and Brett Climo. Ovation has picked up three seasons of the series.

The titles will join Ovation’s new Mystery Mornings block. A Place to Call Home will begin airing on April 6, and Agatha Christie’s Partners in Crime will air later in 2020.

“The art of storytelling is something that Ovation greatly values,” said Scott Woodward, executive VP of programming and production at Ovation. “These two titles will make great additions to the slate of international mystery and drama series that our audience expects from our linear and digital platforms.”

Debra Fisher, senior VP of content sales and licensing at AMC Networks, said, “We’re excited to partner with Ovation to offer their viewers these two first-rate dramas.”
