Acorn Secures EST, DVD Rights for The Last Panthers

SILVER SPRING: RLJ Entertainment’s Acorn has acquired the electronic-sell-through (EST) and home-video rights in North America for the crime drama The Last Panthers in a deal with Sky Vision.

The Last Panthers will make its U.S. debut on Sundance on April 13, with next-day availability to purchase digitally on April 14 through such platforms as iTunes, Amazon Video, Vudu, Google Play, Xbox Video and Sony Interactive Entertainment. Acorn will also release the six-part series on DVD and Blu-ray on May 31. The two-disc DVD and Blu-ray release will include a bonus behind-the-scenes featurette.

The Last Panthers is based on the true events involving the Pink Panthers Balkan jewel thieves. The show’s international cast comprises Samantha Morton (Jane Eyre), John Hurt (Harry Potter), Tahar Rahim (Day of the Falcon) and Goran Bogdan (Number 55).
