PARIS: Newen Distribution has placed the thriller miniseries Beyond the Walls in Australia and New Zealand.

Beyond the Walls, created by Hervé Hadmar and Marc Herpoux (Forgotten Girls, Pigalle La Nuit, Signature, Witnesses), was picked up by SBS Australia and Rialto Channel in New Zealand. The program will air on SBS 2 and SBS On Demand in October. Rialto Channel will debut Beyond the Walls in 2017. AMC already picked up exclusive U.S. rights to the miniseries for its horror SVOD platform Shudder.

The thriller follows Lisa, who inherits a house from a man she doesn’t know. After moving in, Lisa discovers a parallel world completely free of space and time continuums beyond the walls of the house.

Marshall Heald, the director of television and online content at SBS, said, “Beyond the Walls is bold and imaginative—it’s suspenseful, haunting and visually striking from opening shot till closing credit. We’re really thrilled to be working with Newen to bring this fabulous series to audiences on SBS 2 and SBS On Demand as part of our commitment to showcasing the very best in world drama for Australian audiences.”
