ITV Studios Secures Scripted Deals Across AsiaPac

ITV Studios has secured a slew of deals for its scripted slate in Australia, New Zealand, India and Japan.

In Australia, SBS picked up Mammoth Screen’s Code of Silence, which centers on a deaf civilian who volunteers to help detectives with her lip-reading skills.

Seven, meanwhile, acquired The Marlow Murder Club, produced by Monumental Television for UKTV.

In India, Lionsgate Play licensed a package including Code of Silence; Four Years Later, produced by Easy Tiger Productions for SBS; The Suspect, produced by World Productions for ITV; and Erotic Stories, produced by Lingo Pictures for SBS.

Japan’s Mystery Channel signed a multi-title deal for the first season of Ludwig, produced by Big Talk Studios in association with That Mitchell and Webb Company; season two of The Marlow Murder Club; and season five of Grace, produced by Tall Story Pictures.

New Zealand’s TVNZ opted for Code of Silence, season two of Ludwig and season two of Piglets, produced by Monicker Pictures.

“These deals reflect the global appetite for bold, original storytelling and the strength of ITV Studios’ scripted portfolio in delivering just that,” said Augustus Dulgaro, executive VP of sales in the Asia Pacific for ITV Studios. “From gripping crime thrillers to thought-provoking drama, our titles are finding homes with top-tier partners across AsiaPac, and we’re proud to continue building these relationships.”
