Hulu Acquires Rights to Watching You from ITV Studios

ITV Studios has announced the sale of the psychological thriller Watching You, from Lingo Pictures, to Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ in EMEA.

The six-episode series, based on the novel The Last Guests by J.P. Pomare, tackles questions about privacy, relationships, technology and human nature. The series will premiere on February 20 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ in the U.S. and on Disney+ in EMEA.

Watching You stars Aisha Dee, Josh Helman and Luke Cook. The series follows Lina, who, after a passionate one-night stand in a friend’s rental property, is horrified to discover her affair has been captured by cameras hidden in the apartment.

Watching You is adapted for television by creators Alexei Mizin and Ryan van Dijk, produced by Lingo Pictures’ Jason Stephens and Bree-Anne Sykes, and executive produced by Lingo Pictures’ Helen Bowden. Directed by Peter Salmon and Sian Davies.

“We’re absolutely delighted that the incredible Watching You has found a global home on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ in EMEA and that we were able to deliver such a strong, eclectic slate of record-breaking reality and captivating crime drama for Hulu’s discerning subscriber base,” said Tom Clark, executive VP of global sales and commercial strategy at ITV Studios.
