New Two Brothers Pictures Drama for Prime Video

Two Brothers Pictures (The Tourist, Boat Story, Fleabag) is producing the six-part thriller The Assassin, written by Harry and Jack Williams, for Prime Video in the U.K. and Ireland.

The cast is led by Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard, Scoop) and Freddie Highmore (The Good Doctor, Bates Motel), who are both also executive producing. The series follows as a retired assassin reunites with her estranged son on a remote Greek island, only for her dangerous past to catch up with her.

The two are forced to work together to survive, but their battle against a dark conspiracy is not the only battle going on. Her son’s desire for the truth about his paternity clashes with her secrecy.

Additional cast include Gina Gershon (Riverdale, New Amsterdam), Shalom Brune-Franklin (The Tourist, Baby Reindeer), Jack Davenport (The Morning Show, Pirates of the Caribbean), Alan Dale (Dynasty, Lost) Gerald Kyd (The Swarm, The Split), Devon Terrell (Totally Completely Fine, Cursed), Richard Dormer (Blue Lights, Game of Thrones) and David Dencik (The Ipcress File, No Time To Die).

The series is being produced by Two Brothers Pictures in association with ZDF in Germany, All3Media International and Stan in Australia. Faliro House Productions are the Greek service company. Lisa Mulcahy (The Tourist) is directing episodes one through three and Daniel Nettheim (The Tourist) is directing episodes four through six.
