New Nordic Drama from MTG

STOCKHOLM: Shooting is currently taking place on the pan-Scandinavian drama series Svartsjön, which will premiere on TV3 and Viaplay this fall.

Production is under way in the northern part of Sweden and also in Stockholm. The plot centers on an abandoned ski resort, where a group of young people with secret desires and hidden motives experience a range of mysterious incidents leading to a death.

“We want to bring great and unique content to our viewers, and Svartsjön is the latest of a number of [in-house programs] and co-productions like Swedish Dicks, Black Widows, the second season of Norwegian Okkupert, as well as Our Time is Now, our first-ever cooperation with Swedish Public Service broadcaster SVT,” said Jakob Andersen Mejlhede, MTG’s executive VP and group head of programming and content development. “The cast lineup, as well as the story, is fantastic and I’m really excited to bring Svartsjön to viewers all over the Nordics later this year.”
