Netflix has acquired the psychological thriller Innate, created by Plano a Plano Bilbao and produced by Innato La Serie in association with Dynamic Television, for Spain.
From Fran Carballal (Cicatriz, Una Vida Menos en Canarias) and Enrique Lojo (En Fin, Una Vida Menos en Canarias), Innate follows Sara, a psychologist who has spent years rebuilding her life after the trauma of being the daughter of Félix Garay, a notorious multiple murderer dubbed by the media as “The Diesel Killer.” Now living an idyllic life with her husband and teenage son, Sara’s world is turned upside down when Félix is released from prison.
The series stars Elena Anaya (La Piel que Habito, Wonder Woman, Rifkin’s Festival) and Imanol Arias (Cuéntame cómo pasó).
The eight-episode series is directed by Inma Torrente (Valeria, Desaparecidos) and Lino Escalera (Élite, Alta Mar). Production is set to begin in Q1 2025. Executive producers include César Benítez, Emilio Amaré, Álvaro Benítez, Dan March and Carrie Stein.
Dynamic Television serves as the worldwide distribution partner for Innate, marking the company’s foray into Spanish-language content. Netflix acquired exclusive streaming rights for Spain.
