Dynamic Television Renews The Sommerdahl Murders

Dynamic Television has ordered a seventh season of The Sommerdahl Murders and closed new deals for the series in Europe.

Season seven of the drama will continue to follow Detective Chief Inspector Dan Sommerdahl and his best friend and partner Detective Superintendent Flemming Torp, played by Peter Mygind and André Babikian, respectively.

Sommerdahl finds himself recovering from heartbreak after being left at the altar by Josefine. When she unexpectedly returns to Helsingør, they must living under the roof alongside a growing group of colleagues and family members. As the household adjusts to this new reality, personal boundaries blur, old flames reignite and new dynamics emerge, all while the team handles a new portfolio of cases.

The Sommerdahl Murders is created by Lolita Bellstar (Lulu & Leon, The Legacy), who serves as head writer alongside Christine Exner and Jonna Bolin-Cullberg. The series is produced by Danish production company Sequoia Global Alliance, in co-production with Dynamic Television, ZDF, ndF and TV 2.

Also, the drama was recently picked up by TV4 in Sweden, TV2 in Norway, MTV3 in Finland and NPO in the Netherlands, among others.
