NATPE Spotlight: Kanal D

MIAMI: Among the Turkish dramas that Kanal D will be promoting at NATPE are Family Secrets, Crossroads, Flames of Desire and For My Son.

Sweet Revenge and War of the Roses are also part of the mix. Another top title for the company is Wounded Love, which features the pairing of real-life couple Halit Ergenç and Bergüzar Korel, who last starred together some ten years ago in the hit drama 1001 Nights. Kerim Emrah Turna, a sales manager at Kanal D, believes that these titles, along with many others from the company’s catalog, will resonate with LatAm buyers attending the Miami-based market. “We have good stories,” he says. “Even though they are set in Turkey, they are international stories. At the end of the day, most people experience similar things in life.”

“Our series are dubbed in several languages so there are no barriers with the audience,” he adds.
