NATPE Spotlight: Calinos Entertainment

Sisters Yildiz and Zeynep, though close to one another, have very different characteristics and life goals in the Calinos Entertainment NATPE highlight Forbidden Fruit.

The drama follows along as the former seeks happiness through marriage to a rich man who could save her from her low-income life, while the latter, holding firm to her values, aims to have a successful career. “At the moment, we are in the process of making agreements for Forbidden Fruit, which is in its third season in Turkey and enjoying much higher ratings than last season,” says Calinos’s CEO, Firat Gulgen.

In Our Story, Filiz, a big sister looking after her five younger siblings who has been struggling to survive in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Istanbul, finds love. Another female-led series, Womancenters on a young woman living alone with her two children. “In the last two years, we had very successful deals for Woman and Our Story,” says Firat Gulgen.
