Michael Shannon & John Leguizamo Reprising Roles in New Waco Series

Michael Shannon and John Leguizamo are set to reprise their roles in the new limited series American Tragedies: Waco—The Trials (w.t.), which follows on from Paramount Network’s Emmy-nominated Waco.

In addition to Shannon and Leguizamo, the series will star Giovanni Ribisi (The Offer), David Costabile (Billions), J. Smith Cameron (Succession), John Hoogenakker (Dopesick), Keean Johnson (Euphoria) and Abbey Lee (Lovecraft Country, Neon Demon).

Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, the new six-episode series will explore the fallout succeeding the tragic events that took place in Waco, Texas, and the varying levels of justice that the surviving Branch Davidians faced.

American Tragedies: Waco—The Trials is executive produced by returning creators and showrunners Drew Dowdle and John Erick Dowdle, alongside Shannon, Andrew Gettens and Lauren Mackenzie, with David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Bob Yari and Ron Burkle of 101 Studios.
