Mediapro to Present First Look of Forever Home at Series Mania

The Mediapro Studio Distribution is bringing a range of dramas to Series Mania Forum, including Forever Home, for which it will present an exclusive, buyers-only preview.

Alongside Forever Home, the scripted slate includes the Icelandic noir series Reykjavík Fusion, which was one of the ten titles featured in the first edition of the Series Mania Buyers Upfront last year.

Forever Home is currently in the final stages of filming in England, with the support of the North East Production Fund and North East Screen. Based on Graham Norton’s best-selling novel, the series stars Amy Nuttall (The Feud, Downton Abbey), Douglas Henshall (Shetland, The Revenge Club), Denise Welch (Tip Toe, Waterloo Road), Kevin Whately (Lewis), Samantha Bond (The Marlow Murder Club), Lewis Cope (Emmerdale, Strictly Come Dancing) and Jenny Walser (Heartstopper).

Reykjavík Fusion, co-produced with ARTE, ACT4 and SKOT Productions, together with Wild Sheep Content, centers on a talented chef who must attempt to clear his name after wrongful imprisonment. It stars Ólafur Darri Ólafsson and Hera Hilmar. It premiered on December 10 on AMC Networks in Spain. It will debut in the U.S. on April 7 on MHZ.

Also on the slate is Celeste, a series by Diego San José (Jakarta, Vota Juan, Spanish Affair), produced by Movistar Plus+ and 100 Balas. Starring Carmen Machi, the series tells the story of a tax inspector who must prove that Latin music’s biggest star lives in Spain and therefore must pay her taxes there. It premiered in France on March 6 on ARTE and in Switzerland on February 21 on RTS. It has also been sold to Be tv in Belgium and SBS in Australia.

Other titles in the scripted catalog are Jakarta, co-produced by The Mediapro Studio and Movistar Plus+; So Far, So Good, co-produced by Oficina Burman and Cimarrón; Raza Brava, produced by DeCulto in co-production with Atómica Group and Wild Sheep Content; and The Marquise, recently acquired by The Mediapro Studio Distribution for international representation.
