Video Interview: Maxton Hall’s Harriet Herbig-Matten & Damian Hardung

Maxton Hall—The World Between Us, a German-language series based on Mona Kasten’s Maxton Hall trilogy of novels, debuted on Prime Video on May 9. It achieved the most-watched first week of any non-U.S. original title on the streamer and has already been renewed for a second season.

Harriet Herbig-Matten stars as Ruby Bell, a determined scholarship student at Maxton Hall who hopes to secure a spot at Oxford University, while Damian Hardung plays James Beaufort, an arrogant heir who takes his privileged life for granted. After Ruby unwittingly stumbles upon a secret, James attempts to buy her silence, and the two become inextricably linked. As they spend more time together and draw closer, they end up risking everything to be together.
